This Awesome Dog Made It Into The School Yearbook For The Most Beautiful Reason

When was the last time you saw a dog in a school yearbook? Um, probably never, but this year, Taxi, a “guide dog drop out” was given the honor of appearing right next to his companion, seventh grader Rachel Benke. This lab/golden retriever mix has been there for Rachel for four solid years, even refusing to leave her side when she had a grand mal seizure.

Check out the video to see why this service dog is so special.

What an incredible story and an amazing bond between a dog and his owner. Hopefully this will give more recognition to service dogs everywhere (and maybe, soon, we’ll have a yearbook strictly dedicated to those animals!).
