You Will Definitely Regret It If You Don’t Do These 11 Things In Your 20s

Recently, Reddit user blahblehgu asked his fellow redditors what they would change about their twenties, and the results are inspiring:

1. Travel more.

Whether it’s a music fest, another state or an entirely different continent, you’ll be remiss if you stay in one spot.

2. Take risks.

When you’re in your 20s, you have next to nothing to lose. Take chances. Do something crazy. Start a company. Fail. Fail again. Learn from these experiences. You’ll be glad you did.

3. Save more money, plan for retirement.

An overwhelming number of commenters expressed angst over not putting money away when they were young. Setting aside money when you’re young will pave the way for a younger retirement. Two words: Compound interest.

4. Learn an instrument.

Not only does learning an instrument make you smarter but it brings you closer to your dream of being a rock star.

5. Work more.

Put in extra effort now, work less later on.

6. Get fit.

Your metabolism is only going to slow down. Get that six-pack you’ve always wanted, run a marathon, or practice yoga. Your body will thank you.

7. Date more.

You’re young—so enjoy it! Dating more people when you’re younger will help you find Mr. or Mrs. Right!

8. Move to a city.

City living isn’t cheap, but there’s no better time to do it than when you’re young. The vibrant atmosphere and always having something to do will help offset the cost of living.

9. Party (responsibly).

Don’t go overboard, but live it up. Just know your limitations.

10. Get an education.

Getting your degree, learning a skill and marketing yourself is one of the smartest things you can do in your 20s. This will open more doors than you could ever imagine and you’ll make more money as a result.

11. Meet people.

Get out of your comfort zone. Expand your circle. Network. You never know how these people can influence your life later on.
