Amy Beth Cavaretta told her friend and photographer, Emily Robinson, that she gave birth to her first daughter very quickly. But nothing would prepare either of them for the arrival of her second daughter.
It all started this past Thursday at Amy Beth’s Fort Lauderdale, Florida home with her husband, Joe. Once the contractions started, the two, along with Robinson, headed to the Boca Raton Regional Hospital. That’s when this happened:
Once they finally arrived to the hospital, Amy Beth couldn’t even make it across the parking lot.
Midwife Laurie Ross-Berke rushed to Amy Beth’s aid and delivery literally happened on the sidewalk of the hospital.
The unbelievable event was photographed by Emily Robinson, Amy Beth’s friend.
Little Sienna Grace entered the world in a strange way, but she’s a healthy 7 pound 4 ounce baby girl.
Dad and Mom are doing well, both ecstatic.
And so is Sienna’s older sister.
Sometimes things don’t go as planned, but it’s exactly the way they were supposed to be.

This is probably the first time a woman was ever wheeled into a hospital already holding her baby. What an amazing story.
